📖 How to Use
Paste your participants' names into the "Name List" box, one per line. If you don't need real names and just want to see how the split works, leave it blank and enter a number in "Total Headcount" instead — the tool will auto-number people as "Member 1," "Member 2," and so on.
As soon as the name list has content, the "Total Headcount" field is ignored — a hint above updates live to tell you how many names it currently detects.
In "Group Mode", choose either "By Number of Groups" (you specify how many groups to create) or "By Group Size" (you specify how many people per group, and the number of groups is calculated for you).
Enter the matching number — group count or group size — in the field next to it.
Click "Divide Into Groups" to actually run the random split — this step requires a manual click, it doesn't happen automatically as you type.
Results appear as cards, each labeled with a group number, its headcount, and the list of members.
Note: when the headcount doesn't divide evenly, the tool distributes the shuffled list round-robin across groups, so no group ends up with more than one extra person compared to the smallest group — the split stays as even as mathematically possible. Also, every click of "Divide Into Groups" reshuffles from scratch, so you can re-run the same list as many times as you like and get a different grouping each time.
